প্রিয় ছাত্রছাত্রী, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ স্কুল বোর্ড শ্রেণীভিত্তিক নতুন September, 2021 এর Model Activity Task  নবম শ্রেণি ইংরেজি বিষয়ের এর প্রশ্ন-পত্র বিতরণ করেছে। হোম টাক্স হিসেবে উত্তর লিখে তোমাদের নিজ নিজ বিদ্যালয় জমা দিতে হবে। আমরা তোমাদের পাশে বন্ধুর মতো হাজির হয়ে নবম শ্রেণির ইংরেজি মডেল অ্যাক্টিভিটি টাস্ক এর সমাধান করে দিলাম । আশা করি তোমরা উপকৃত হবে।

MODEL ACTIVITY TASK

Class- IX 

ENGLISH (2nd language)


Read the passage carefully and answer the following questions: 


It had been raining for seven years. Thousands upon thousands of days filled from one end to the other with rain. The days were filled with gush of water and endless showers. Heavy storms caused tidal waves to come over the islands. A thousand forests crushed under the rain, had  grown up a thousand times to be crushed again. This was the way life  forever on the planet Venus. Here was located the school room of the children belonging to men and women who came by rockets from Earth.They set up a civilization in this raining world.


ACTIVITY- 1


Answer the following questions: 

i) How long it had been raining in Venus?

Ans: It had been raining for seven years in planet Venus.


ii) What was the way of life in Venus?

Ans: The planet Venus is described as 'raining world'. It rained continuously here. Heavy storms caused tidal waves to come over the island. Thousand of forest crushed under the rain.This was the way of life forever in Venus.


iii) Who set up a civilization in the 'raining world,' ?

Ans: The men and women who came from the earth by rockets, set up a civilization in the 'raining world.


ACTIVITY- 2


Do as directed: 


i) Opening the gate, the man came in. (Change into a compound sentence)

Ans: The man opened the gate and came in.


ii) He was very sorry and left the place. ( Change into a simple sentence)

Ans: Being very sorry, he left the place.


iii) Work hard or you may fail. ( Change into a complex sentence)

Ans: Unless you work hard, you may fail. 

Or

You may fail if you do not work hard.


iv) He was so tired that he could not walk. (Change into a simple sentence)

Ans: He was too tired to walk.



ACTIVITY- 3


Your father has to shift to a different district due to his job requirements. Write a letter to the Headmistress/Headmaster of your school seeking a Transfer Certificate.

Respected sir,
With all due respect, I beg to inform you that I Kamal Sk, Class- IX, Section- C, Roll No- 6 regret my inabilities to continue as a student of your institution owing to the recent shifting of my father. Being a Central Government Service holder my father has been recently shifted from Jiaganj to Birbhum. My family will be shifting there soon thus it is impossible for me to continue studies in your reputed school. My family has therefore decided to enrol me in an institution closer to my new residence.

In this connection, I request you to kindly issue a transfer certificate so I can get admission to the new Institution. I hope and pray you would grant my prayer and oblige thereby.
